Spike
Spike was a very timid
little dog when he came into rescue. His foster mom, Tasha,
taught him to trust again and be the happy, playful little
monkey a MinPin should be. He found a wonderful home in Beloit
with Todd and Sue and their daughter Cassie. He also has a
MinPin brother named Buddy to play with. Spike is thriving
in his new home! |
Lady's Adoption
One of the greatest feelings in the world is leaving knowing
that something great just happened. This is exactly what I
was experiencing as I was driving away from the Bajek home
on 12/16/04. Lady had been with me just over a week but I
knew the minute I saw her that she wouldn't be with me long.
The Bajek family had contacted me inquiring about Lady only
days after she had been posted for adoption. I knew from my
conversations and emails that this family was perfect for
little Lady.
This family was a pure treat to meet! Very warm and family
oriented; they invited me into their home. Everyone was there
to welcome Lady! Their 12 year old daughter was so excited
when I pulled up to the house that she was jumping up and
down outside just giddy. Lady warmed up to everyone even the
toddler. Lady had found her forever home!
As I left, all I could think of was how the lives of the entire
family are now forever changed by adding one precious deserving
little dog. Lady got her Christmas wish; a family to love
her unconditionally forever! ........Janessa, Lady's foster

Kiki
KiKi was fostered by Heather who found her a dream home with
Sue W. Sue has been with our group for many years and has
adopted from us twice in the past. KiKi has 3 very sweet MinPin
sisters to play with and is loving life in her new home! |
Buster
Buster was our HW positive dog who spent over two months
in foster care with Gaby who did an outstanding job with him.
His vet bills were high but our volunteers, headed by Kathy,
rallied and put together a fundraiser which raised in excess
of $1500.00.
Buster was adopted by a wonderful family from New Berlin.
He was so comfortable with them - liked Dad especially! He
will have two little human sisters and a 3 month old MinPin
brother named Zeus to play with. Buster, who craves attention
more than anything, will never be alone. |
Doc
Doc was adopted by a couple from Green Bay who originally
saw him in the shelter there and were completely smitten.
He had already been slated to go to rescue, however. They
then contacted me and were so cooperative and accommodating
in working with us. This was the first time I'd received an
application on a dog I hadn't even met yet, but they had.
LOL! Doc will have an Akita-mix sister named Dakota who is
so laid back and the two of them did great together. This
dog is going to be pampered to death! Heather did a wonderful
job fostering this little peanut! |
Joe
This tiny 4 mo. old mini mite came into rescue
with generalized demodex, a problem which was quite concerning.
Joe made an absolutely amazing recovery and his new parents
waited patiently for several weeks until his immune system
was sufficiently recovered for him to be vaccinated and neutered.
During that time they visited him and brought many family
members over to meet him as well. He was adopted by Karen
and Joe of Waukesha and will be the center of their universe.
They lost their 23 yr. old Chihuahua 2 years ago and that
experience was so painful they swore they would never get
another dog...until they saw Joe. This was a match made in
heaven.

Bonnie
Finally Bonnie has found her forever home! After being a
stray, getting picked up by a shelter, coming into rescue,
being adopted out, being dumped at a shelter again and then
coming back to rescue again... this is the home for her! She
told me so herself. Half way through the home visit she was
sitting next to Jolene, paw on thigh, acting as if she had
always been there! Right then I knew that she had found it.
Bonnie has a new little brother as well. His name is Doby
and he is a puppy Italian Greyhound. OMG is this the smallest
and cutest (non-min pin) puppy I have ever seen! He was bouncing
around checking Bonnie out and not a tense moment to be had!
I couldn't have asked for a better meet & greet between
dogs.
She will finally have a consistant loving home. Jolene and
Brad are two of the kindest people I have ever met. I am looking
forward to pupdates from them!

| Foley
Foley is one of the happiest, friendliest doglets we've ever
had in rescue. He's also especially good with children so
we were thrilled to find him a wonderful home with Amy &
Jerry G. of Racine, WI. He will be the dog their son Devon
will grow up with and I don't think either they or Foley could
have found a more perfect match. In Amy's email to me last
night, Foley and Devon were curled up together sound asleep
under a blankie. It was a very big and exciting day for both
of them!
Many thanks to Cherry for fostering our "Roley Poley
Little Foley". I know he was an especially hard one to
give up. |
Sarge
Sarge came to us from the Waukesha Humane Society (HAWS)
after they were overrun with 200+ stray cats. He was an owner
surrender because they just didn't have time for him.
Sarge is one of the most well mannered Min Pins that I have
ever met. He waits for permission to jump on the bed or couch,
he even waits for you to tell him it is o.k. to eat.
After fighting an awful case of Kennel Cough he found his
Forever Home with a co-worker of mine, Penny, and her three
boys. I'm not sure who is happier, the boys, for finally finding
their Best Friend for Life, or Sarge for finding a home where
he is being treated like a King.
I feel lucky to have been able to share a small part of my
life with this special pup.
(He could have easily been a Foster Failure !!)

Pedro
Pedro's owner of 7 years was heartbroken
when she was forced to give him up. She had fallen upon hard
times, lost her home and had to move into an apartment that
did not accept pets. At least she did the right thing and
contacted WMPR. Pedro obviously had a great life with her
as he is such a happy, playful, loving dog. He was fostered
by Janessa who adored him and found him the most wonderful
home with Liz and Steve from Lake Mills, WI. He is happy as
a clam in his new home and the pupdates we get from them are
so hilarious and touching. Pedro has found a couple who are
just as fun, entertaining and loving as he is - perfect match! |
Radar
Radar was an unclaimed stray from a local shelter but was
obviously someone's well-loved pet. While there he contracted
a severe case of kennel cough. I welcomed him into my home
until he could recover and find a loving family that would
spoil him rotten.
Radar is such a loving pup. He would follow me around the
house, not letting me out of his sight for a minute. The second
I would sit down, he would hop right up, ready to lay down
and cuddle.
Radar was able to find the perfect home with Erika and Chris
in Gages Lake, IL. The community is very dog friendly, allowing
the pups into the local stores and restaurants. Radar will
be able to tag along with his new Mom and Dad almost everywhere.
His new home is across the street from Gages Lake and his
new best friends, a Dobe and Lab-Newfoundland mix.
Radar is going to be spoiled rotten, just like he deserves.

Mocha
Mocha was rescued from a shelter and from the beginning she
was such a fun little girl. She is very much missed by her
foster family but we know she has found a wonderful new home
which is very close by. Her new family consists of Tom (not
pictured) & Dawn R. of Edgar, WI and their other two furkids
- Lucy who is a MinPin and Zoe. Mocha is doing great in her
new home and now has a fenced yard so she has lots of room
to run and play.

Lola
Lola was surrendered by her owners due to their inability
to spend the time to adequately housetrain her. Once in fostercare,
Heather had absolutely no problems with her and she definitely
had the hang of this - just needed someone who was attentive
to her needs. Lola has found her forever home with Roger and
Jo from Milton, WI where they have all the time in the world
to spend with her! They are retired and their MinPin Willow
and Lola are the center of their universe. They are such playful,
young-at-heart, delightful characters with hearts of gold.
Lola is being pampered to death, follows Roger everywhere,
sleeps under the covers at night and is getting 24/7 attention.
We think that is what she lacked in the first place and will
never lack for again. His pupdates are an absolute hoot! Lola
could not have found a more perfect little family. I wish
we could clone this home!

Sable
Sable came into rescue due to the sudden and unexpected death
of his owner. He was adopted by Stan of Monona, WI. Stan is
a widower who lived alone and had recently lost his companion
dog of many years. With the help of his daughter Mary, Stan
found Sable and they never leave one another's side - the
lonely days are now over. Both have suffered the recent loss
of their loved ones so it seems "meant to be" that
they found one another. |

| Mannie
Mannie was a very energetic dog that came into rescue from
a shelter. He kept his foster parents on their toes but they
sure enjoyed spending their time with him. He found his forever
home in Sun Prairie, WI with Erik and Kyle and his new sister
Maggie. Because the names were so similar they changed his
name to Dexter. He has adjusted very well and enjoys playing
with his sister and going for walks with the family. He is
surely missed by his foster family but knowing he has found
such a loving home is what makes this all worthwhile.

| Ricky --
from his new family
Hi Mary,
Just thought I would let you know how Ricky is doing. Cherry
brought him over on Friday night & he has been here since.
Needless to say, he is already a "Daddy's Boy".
I had to work this weekend, but Mike was home all weekend
w/the "kids". Ricky got alot of Daddy bonding time.
They love lounging on the couch together, as you see in the
picture attached.
Everyone is getting along & Ricky is starting to come
out of his shell. He is a wonderful addition to the family.
Mike said it was a great "Father's Day".
I admire what your organization does for these little guys.
Thank-you again.

| Lucy
Lucy was our tiny, die-hard escape artist. Clever beyond
imagination, her highly accomplished bolting techniques (the
reason for her surrender) truly made her a special needs doglet.
With such an exuberant, loving and playful temperament, she
won many hearts and we were inundated with inquiries on her.
She found the perfect family with Kim & Rick, their son
Craig and MinPin-mix Holly in Spring Green, WI. Lucy has a
huge fenced yard that is MinPin-proofed and as safe as Fort
Knox! She is loving life in her new home and is even learning
to use her new doggie door. I'm confident Princess Lucy will
be well loved, safe and happy for the rest of her life. |
Chase
Chase was a stray from local shelter who went unclaimed.
He craved human attention from the start and found a wonderful
home with Jill and Russ from Wind Lake, WI. They love him
to death and send frequent pupdates to his foster home. He
has a Doberman brother named Jackson and they have become
the bestest of buddies. Chase is truly cherished and happy
in his forever home. |
| Moe
Moe was surrendered to us when his owner was diagnosed with
cancer. He is just the sweetest little gentleman and had obviously
led a very good life with his former owner. We had so many
applications for him but he has found his ideal forever home
with Bryn W. and her family in Menomonee Falls, WI. He is
being pampered to death, never lacks for attention and has
a long and happy future in front of him. A huge thank you
to everyone involved in rescuing Moe (you know who you are)
and especially to Bryn and family for opening thier hearts
to this very special MinPin. |
| Skippy
aka Toby
Skippy (now named Toby) was rescued from a home who kept
him outside in a filthy shed. To everyone's surprise, this
dog was so outgoing and friendly - never met a person or animal
he didn't like. He was adopted by Noel and Cris from Cudahy,
WI and is doing great in his new home. He's enjoying long
walks along the Lake Michigan shoreline and they've had great
success in teaching him to heel, sit, etc. He also has a new
sister (a Chihuahua/Poodle mix named Mina). Mina was a bit
grumbly the first day about sharing her domain but they are
now the best of buddies and adore one another. Go Toby and
Mina!
|
| Caeser
This little guy has found his new home in Combined Locks,
in Northeastern Wisconsin. Barb and Steve have owned two min
pins in the past, named Kobi and Nikita and were so excited
to find Caeser! Fostered by Kathy, this energetic little guy
was rescued as a stray and has the typical Miniature Pinscher
spirit.
At their first meeting at Kathy’s house, Caeser picked
up a little pink sock and proceeded to “bury it”
under some grass clippings in Kathy’s yard. He certainly
has a lot of personality and spunk, and his new owners fell
in love with him. He also likes to sleep inside Steve’s
sweatshirt and of course, under the covers.
Caeser is an “only child” in his new forever
home. And he’s loving the attention and care from his
new owners, who consider finding him a real blessing.
|
Chase
Chase was surrendered to rescue due to his owner working
extremely long hours - he was basically living his life in
a crate. He found his forever home with Lisa and Jeff S. of
Menomonee Falls, WI. He has a MinPin brother named Nuggy and
a huge fenced yard to play in. He is cherished beyond words
and is loving life in his new home! He will never starve for
attention again! |
